500+ film fans, one watchlist: the most-tracked movies of 2026
Everyone using I Like Movies keeps a watchlist: the films they mean to get to. Put more than 500 of those watchlists together and a picture forms of what film fans are actually queuing up for the year ahead. This is that ranking, drawn straight from the app and refreshed as it moves.
Two things stand out. The most-tracked titles are the big 2026 releases people are waiting on, from Spider-Man: Brand New Day to Dune: Part Three. Underneath them sit the modern classics that keep landing on new watchlists, the films people hear about and save for later.

How we counted
For every film we counted how many separate members currently have it on their watchlist, and ranked by that number. Nothing is weighted and nothing is paid: it is a straight tally of what people have saved to watch. The count runs across the app's members and leaves out our own two developer accounts.
One honest caveat. When you first set up the app it suggests a handful of titles to start your watchlist, so those carry a head start over films people found on their own. We have left them in rather than quietly drop them, because they really are on people's lists. Everything past the first several entries is unprompted.
Questions people ask
How is this measured?
For every film we counted how many separate members currently keep it on their watchlist, and ranked by that number. Nothing is weighted and nothing is paid: it is a straight tally of what people have saved to watch, taken across the app and excluding our own two developer accounts.
Why are films that are not out yet on the list?
A watchlist is where you save what you mean to watch, so the most-anticipated releases of the year rise to the top long before they open. That is the point of tracking them, and it is why a 2026 slate leads a 2026 ranking.
Can the app recommend films like these to me?
Yes. I Like Movies builds each month of recommendations from your own ratings, and its assistant answers for a film in plain language. The ranking here is the crowd’s; your recommendations are yours.
